Services and Fees
The service packages described below are designed to help a student navigate the college search process. We are also happy to tailor the sessions to fit a student's needs. Additional sessions may be needed depending on the number of applications to be submitted and when the student starts the program.

Many families choose to get an earlier start on the college process by scheduling appointments for a high school freshman or sophomore. That’s great! We recommend 1-2 sessions for freshmen and 2-3 sessions for sophomores (at the single session rate).
Packages and Fees
Comprehensive Junior / Senior Year College Planning Package

Topics covered during junior year include schedule planning, building college list and preparing for visits, summer opportunities and developing activities, standardized testing plan, and YouScience administration and assessment.

Seniors will meet with Anna regularly until all applications are submitted. Package also includes small group essay writing workshop, access to college planning software, and regular check-ins / reminders.

Topics covered during senior year include finalizing application list, essay brainstorming and editing (main essay as well as college-specific essays), preparing for admission or scholarship interviews, reviewing admission applications, and making final college selection.

Early Bird Package

Three 55-minute sessions to be used before the end of 10th grade.

Topics include the transition to high school, class selection, summer planning, and building a strong resume.

Clients are given priority for junior / senior college planning package.
Single Session Rate (55 minutes)

You pick the focus based on your student’s needs.

Topics could include selecting high school classes, application strategies, reviewing applications, preparing for interviews, career and college exploration, testing plan, brainstorming ideas for summer, building a college list, planning for college visits, and developing activities and résumé.

Essay Writing Workshop

This one-week workshop will include brainstorming exercises, sample essays, drafts, and professional editing. The workshop is led by Anna Davis and Heidi Giffin, a writing instructor at Queens University. By the end of the week, students will have a polished draft that has been edited by two professionals and can be used for many applications. Enrollment will be limited to 12 students to ensure personal attention.
